Mommefit Classes

8 WEEK BEACH BLAST

The 8 WEEK BEACH BLAST is an hour-long high intensity workout that is designed to get you beach ready in 8 weeks. This baby-friendly workout will trim and tone your body by combining high intensity cardio intervals with strengthening exercises to give you a total body burn. The intervals will get progressively harder and more intense, so by the final week, your body will be a fat burning machine. Please bring your stroller and mat to this class. Various props and equipment will be used throughout this session to ensure your body is continually progressing. Pre-walkers only please.

INDOOR OR OUTDOOR BABY BOOTCAMP

Baby Bootcamp is an hour-long outdoor exercise class that combines muscle-conditioning and cardio moves that keep you interacting with your baby. The class consists of a variety of drills, core work, strollercising, resistance band work and yoga exercises. Classes are held in neighboring parks several days per week in the summer and indoors in various community centers in the winter. Please bring your stroller and resistance tubing to this class. Babies of any age welcome as long as baby is happy in the stroller.

TUMMYTIME

This class is designed to help re-develop core strength and to flatten your tummy after childbirth. Exercises focus on toning and tightening your entire core area while giving you time to bond and interact with your baby by involving your baby in your exercise routine. This is a baby friendly class, so please bring some toys and a blanket, car-seat or carrier for your baby. Baby can either interact with other babies while playing on the floor or can be nestled in your arms while you exercise. A mat and some light weights are recommended for mom. Pre-walkers only please.

HARD CORE MOMMIES

This is a total body conditioning class for moms who want to get back to their pre-pregnancy bodies and fit into their pre-pregnancy clothes! The class focuses on core exercises but also includes multi-joint exercises targeting the arms and legs in order to redevelop those muscles needed to carry baby around all day. This is a baby friendly class, so please bring a blanket, car-seat or carrier for baby and a mat and some light weights for yourself. Pre-walkers only please.

PRENATAL YOGA

This prenatal yoga class is designed to prepare your mind, body and spirit for before, during and after delivery. Poses are designed to strengthen and lengthen the muscles you'll need for delivery and assist you in maintain good posture throughout your pregnancy. The breathing and visualization exercises are designed to assist you through labour and beyond. Please bring your yoga mat to this class. Moms in all stages of pregnancy welcome.

MOM N BABY YOGA

This is a postnatal mom n baby yoga class designed for moms to safely start redeveloping those long lean muscles while bonding with their babies. Moves focus on re-building abdominal strength, stabilizing the joints and increasing upper body strength and posture. The class closes with relaxation postures and breathing exercises for those times when everything seems overwhelming. Please bring your yoga mat to this class. Pre-walkers only please.

BABES ON THE BALL

A 45 minute specialty fitness class meant to prepare moms for before and after delivery. The class focuses on providing pre- and post-natal women with a full-body workout using the body ball and resistance bands or your own baby as resistance. You will be guided through safe cardio exercises, functional strength training, core work, flexibility and relaxation. You'll discover the benefits of working out for yourself and your baby. Pre-walkers only please.

STROLLERCISE

This Boomerang Kids program includes not only walking or running but also a pilates-based core workout as well. Participants will be guided through a dynamic warm-up and proper warm-down and a core workout at the end of the route. Strollercise is available to everyone, regardless of his/her fitness level. Whether the participant is a serious athlete or is just looking for a new social activity, the Strollercise program can meet their needs. Please bring your mat and stroller to this class. Moms, dads and babies of any age welcome as long as baby is happy in the stroller or in a carrier.

MOM, DAD AND BABY BOOTCAMP

Our Mom, Dad and Baby Bootcamp is an hour-long athletic conditioning class that takes movements from various athletic disciplines and combines them with cardio moves that will keep sweating! The class consists of a variety of sports drills, core work, running / jogging, resistance band training and partner exercises. Classes are held in neighboring parks in the summer and indoors in various community centers in the winter. Please bring your stroller and mat to this class. Come bond with your husband and your baby! Babies of any age welcome as long as baby is happy in the stroller. Dads only pay half price!

STROLLER FIT

This hour long class takes the traditional strollercise class to a new level. Stroller Fit takes the traditional walking or jogging intervals (while pushing the stroller) and incorporates cardio drills, body resistance exercises, core work and resistance band exercises along the way (low impact/intensity modifications are always provided). Please bring your resistance tubing to this class. Moms and dads as well as babies of any age welcome as long as baby is happy in the stroller.

POST-NATAL SPIN N TRIM

This indoor stationary cycling class is specifically modified for post natal women and is designed to get new moms back in gear! A 45 minute spinning segment set to motivating music (played at modified volume for baby) combined with 15 minutes of core work makes this class a total body workout. Pre-crawlers only please as babies must remain in their car seats for the spinning portion of this class.
